About
The art of storytelling is what makes Adena tick. She honed her PR skills on national food and beverage accounts at Weber Shandwick Chicago. A journalistic curiosity stems from her time as a freelance food writer for the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle, Rochester Magazine and 585 Magazine. Adena discovered her passion for food in the Windy City, and attending a travel, food and wine writing seminar in Saint-Émilion, France ignited her passion for wine and travel. In her role with TAP, she leads client accounts, develops thoughtful and strategic content, plans annual events and coordinates membership initiatives.
Favorite Travel Memory
Italy will forever have my heart, as I had the opportunity to live in in Tuscany for one month! After exploring Rome and Florence, it was a villa in Cortona (where the film Under the Tuscan Sun was filmed) that served as our home base. Experiencing life like the locals was incredible – taking in all the fascinating sites, the twists and turns of the steep cobblestone streets, wineries, fresh cheeses, incredible pasta and pizza, fragrant truffles, rich cappuccinos, and mouth-watering gelato in the piazza…the art of a slow-paced lifestyle and warm Italian hospitality was unforgettable. The Amalfi Coast – where all sorts of gems are built into the cliffs with breathtaking views of the water and sunsets was at the top of my list – a destination that took my breath away and a place I will forever describe as heaven on earth.
Fun Fact
In 2006, I was selected as part of a “No Boundaries” program to participate in a Travel, Food and Wine writing seminar in St. Emilion, France.
